Headteacher's Welcome

Cardinal Heenan is a happy, caring, thriving and inclusive Catholic school where all pupils are able to realise their potential, take their responsibilities seriously, respect themselves and others, and grow in the love of God. 

From their first day here Cardinal Heenan pupils will be motivated, challenged and engaged by high quality teaching and so develop a lifelong love of learning. Pupils, in partnership with school and home, will be active, independent and resilient learners who acknowledge their responsibility in upholding the school’s Catholic Christian values. With the support of exceptional pastoral care and guidance, extra-curricular activities and strong community links, the personal development of all pupils will be outstanding.  Pupils will then move on from Cardinal Heenan as confident, global citizens equipped to serve each other, the Church, parents and the wider community.

Fine Start in Sport

Our pupils have made a fine sporting start to the school year.  One in every four pupils has attended a sporting activity, either a lunchtime or after school club in recent weeks.  Football is a popular as ever: we have entered six strong squads in a range of age groups for the English Schools’ Cup.
