Happy New Year 2019

At Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School, in line with our school mission statement, we work continually to support our young people inspiring all to excellence and in learning to grow in aspiration.

This term we are focusing particularly in achieving this through three key priorities:

Excellent attendance: National statistics show that a student with 100% attendance has an 82% chance of achieving five or more GCSE grades of between grade 5 and 9. Therefore every day counts.

Please encourage your child to be resilient and determined and to attend school every day. Please do not book holidays in school time.

Punctuality all day, every day: We are encouraging students to really value their learning time and hurry from lesson to lesson, always prepared and ready to learn.

Winning Attitude: Please encourage your child to organise themselves the night before and complete homework. We are proud that our students have a very smart uniform, so are ensuring they ‘dress for success’ and follow the uniform policy. We are focusing on being polite, determined and kind to everyone and taking opportunities to learn or take part in things that are offered to us.
