Head Girl Happiness Chinembiri and Head Boy Daniel Clement presented cheques for £2,176 to CAFOD, the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales, yesterday on behalf of the school community.  This sum has raised by pupils in school by means of a non-uniform day, bun sales, sporting competitions and in response to CAFOD’s fast day appeals.  Kathryn Robinson, a CAFOD schools volunteer, joined us for a Lenten assembly.  Kathryn told pupils: ‘Your fundraising is a wonderful way to put your Catholic faith into action. It shows that you believe that everyone in the world has the right to live their lives with dignity. This money will ensure our partners in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East will continue to fight poverty and injustice, wherever the need is greatest.  Please remember your global brothers and sisters in your prayers and continue to encourage other to stand in solidarity with families and communities in the Global South. Thank you for your support.
