Betty’s and Taylors of Harrogate

Year 9 students visited the Betty’s and Taylors of Harrogate production site to learn more about careers in catering and food production. They developed employability skills and learned about the diverse range of careers from product design to marketing and production. They met staff in a variety of roles within the organisation and had a tour of the production areas where they learned more about the processes involved in designing and creating a wide range of food and beverages as well as the range of roles available in the hospitality sector. Conversations with staff gave students the chance to ask specific questions about working in a range of roles within the hospitality sector.
