Boys Football 2024-25

October 2024 updates

The Year 7 team are through to the second round of the Leeds Cup after a 5-2 win. Year 8 beat Carr Manor in the league and beat Brigshaw in the first round of the Leeds Cup.

Year 9 won 2-1 against Roundhay and beat Morley 5-2. They are now through to the quarter finals of the Leeds Cup. Our Year 10 boys bounced back from defeat in the national cup with a 2-1 win in the County Cup. The team are now through to the semi-finals of the County Cup and the third round of the Leeds Cup. The Year 11 team are through to the semi-final of the County Cup and the third round of the Leeds Cup.

December 2024 updates

The Year 10 boys reached the final of the County Cup, losing out 2-0 to Shelley FC. This is testament to the team spirit in the squad and great leadership from the team captain.

This year, we have fielded boys’ teams in the league and cup in all year groups, supported by staff volunteers from across the school. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, over 100 students from all year groups attend training sessions led by our team of dedicated staff.

 

January 2024 updates

Boys teams are also competing in merit leagues and the Year 10 boys are through to the semi final of the Leeds Cup. We also have a number of students across all age groups who are training and playing for academy sides at local professional clubs including Doncaster, Burnley and Bradford.
