We celebrated the European Day of Languages in school on Friday 26 September. Now in its 25th year, the European Day of Languages gives students the opportunity to explore languages and celebrate the range of languages spoken in school and across Europe. Students were invited to create a poster sharing the benefits of language learning for community and empathy. The winning entry came from Year 7 student Bella, who also sang a song in a number of European languages which was played in tutor time on the day. During tutor time activities, pupils were also invited to become languages detectives, using their linguistic skills to identify a range of different languages from clips.
