Leeds Book Awards Ceremony

Leeds Book Awards Ceremony

A group of Year 7 students attended the Leeds Book Awards ceremony in May. The day consisted of a panel event in Leeds Central Library, where students had the chance to ask the shortlisted authors and illustrators questions about their books or about the writing process. This was followed by the ceremony at Leeds City Museum. This was hosted by Testament, a local writer, rapper and Guinness world record breaking human beatboxer. After the ceremony, pupils were able to speak to the shortlisted authors and get copies of the shortlisted titles signed.
