Reading Leaders 2024-25

Reading Leaders 2024-25

Thank you to the incredible number of Year 10 students who applied to become Reading Leaders. Successful applicants have been informed this week and will begin their training after half term. They will then start to support students in Year 7, helping them to become more confident readers. We know that many students who benefitted from the support of a reading leader in Year 7 go on to apply to participate in the scheme in Year 10, building on the best traditions they have inherited and demonstrating their commitment to our school community. Unfortunately, due to space and time restrictions, we are unable to offer all students a place on this scheme. However, any students in Year 10 who would like to contribute towards reading for pleasure in school in other ways should speak to Miss Harnett or Miss Burns about opportunities to support book clubs or volunteer as Junior Librarians.
