U12 girls reach ESFA National Cup Quarter Finals

U12 girls reach ESFA National Cup Quarter Finals

Congratulations to the U12 girls footballers who beat St Augustine’s RC High School, Clitheroe 5-3 to reach the quarter finals.

St Augustine’s were a strong side scoring some early goals, but the team remained composed and at half time led 3-2. The team started well in the second half to making it 4-2. St Augustine’s pulled one back from a corner but Cardinal Heenan hit back soon to make it 5-3!

The girls delivered a professional team performance to grind out another win against tough opponents, demonstrating composure and determination throughout.

We are currently checking the history books but we believe this is the first time the school has reached this stage of the competition in the last 50 years! Regardless, it is a phenomenal achievement and we are eagerly awaiting the draw.
