Year 7 Ethos Days 2025

Year 7 Ethos Days 2025

Our Year 7 students celebrated their Ethos Days alongside their tutors and our Chaplaincy team in school. These days give students the chance to understand more about the unique Catholic nature of our school, as well as helping them to get to know members of their tutor group.

Students impressed us with their enthusiasm and thoughtfulness on these special days in school. They worked together to plan their first tutor group service. These services were celebrations of their individual talents and they reflected on the idea that we are all pearls from God and that they will have opportunities to shine throughout their time at school.

As well as looking to the future, students reflected on the past and created shields representing their time at primary school. They took Emmaus walks, giving them the opportunity to talk to friends and remember that Christ accompanies them on their journey through life. They also learned our school hymn and prepared readings for their welcome mass. The Ethos days were an excellent way for Year 7 students to celebrate a fantastic start to life at Cardinal Heenan.

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”
