Year 7 Science Fair

Year 7 Science Fair

In June, we hosted our second annual science fair. Students were encouraged to take on a science project of their choice, with prizes in two categories: Science in Art and Investigation Skills. Students explored a range of topics, from the wonders of space to the way our circulatory system works. They displayed their work through models, artwork and demonstrations. Staff and students were invited to explore the different exhibits throughout the school day. It was excellent to see the students enthused by science and sharing their research so articulately with staff and their peers. Thank you to the Science department for supporting the students with their different projects. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to our winning entries:

Overall: Jacob – Archimedes Screw

Science in Art: Ethan – Atoms of the Periodic Table

Science Investigation: Max – How Does Bread Type Affect Mould Growth?

Runners up:

Nelson- Working Model of the Solar System

Olivia – Effects of Smoking on the Lungs

Alyssa – Model of the Stomach

Carmen – Butterflies
