Year 8 Netball v Roundhay

Year 8 Netball v Roundhay

This report was written by Niamh.

The first half started with a strong team in positions. With some quick accurate passes from both teams over head, chest, shoulder and some unexpected bounce passes making it easier to get past their players with really good defensive actions.

The second quarter started with a few position changes from both teams but shots were getting put in left right centre. Roundhay’s shooting D was very strong.

But Cardie’s defence were fighting for the rebound. Half way through the match but half way to go with a quick team talk and straight in for the centre pass, it was a game of who could get to the ball faster with some feisty centre court action and some awesome work saving shots by hitting them back in before the ball went out.

When the last and final quarter started, the nerves were there with a few silly mistakes but every last pass mattered as Roundhay were very good at winning the ball in the centre pass. When the final whistle went all the girls went to shake hands and choose their player of the match, which for Cardies was Eva.
