From Wednesday 9 July to Monday 14 July, we will have a Scholastic book fair in school.
Scholastic book fairs are an excellent way of inspiring children to read a wider range of fiction and non-fiction texts. The book fair will be open every day at lunchtime outside the library for students to browse.
There are several ways to pay for books at our fair:
- Students can look at the book fair leaflet below or browse the fair then complete a paper ‘wish list’ (available from the book fair) which they can bring home. You can then pay online here https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/pay for any books you would like to purchase from this wish list before returning it with the payment reference for the purchased titles. Students will need this reference number to collect their purchased book.
- You can buy Scholastic gift vouchers online at https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/gift-vouchers – please note that we are unable to give change from gift vouchers so students will have to spend the full value in a single visit.
- Students can pay by card at the fair. Please remind your child to take care of their card.
Unfortunately, in line with our ‘invisible phone’ policy in school, students will not be able to pay using a mobile phone. As a cashless school, we are also unable to accept cash at the book fair.
We will also open the book fair to allow parents/carers to come into school to make a payment after school (3.20-3.45) on Wednesday 9 July and Monday 14 July. The book fair will also be displayed at our Year 6 Enrolment Evening on Wednesday 9 July for any parents who wish to browse.
Every item sold at the book fair earns Scholastic vouchers for the school to spend on new library books.
Please do not hesitate to contact us in school with any questions about the book fair or about reading for pleasure in school.
