Public Speaking 2025

Public Speaking 2025

In February, we took two teams to Horbury Academy for the second round of the ESU’s Public Speaking. The evening included speeches on a range of themes, from the role of schools in promoting positive mental health to an exploration of hockey star Wayne Gretsky famous line “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” and the lessons it can teach all of us about taking risks and stepping out of our comfort zone. After a series of eye-opening, insightful discussions, our team of Year 10 students progressed to the Regional Final of the competition, which will be held in March.
