Year 7 Boys Football: Autumn 1/2 Term Round Up

Report written by Riley:

Our Year 7 football team has started the season very strongly and has developed a great bond. Results wise, we haven’t lost a game so far this year; winning 3-1 in the first round of the Leeds Cup and remaining unbeaten in a recent mini tournament. Also, our latest match ended in a 7-1 victory in the County Cup. We have a great group of lads who don’t get too confident on the highs or too down on the lows. Of course, none of this would be possible without our great coach, Mr Coe, who is a busy man but still generously gives up his spare time to train our team and coach our games. We couldn’t do it without him! It has been a great experience so far, as I’m sure the rest of the players would agree, you meet lots of people along the way as well. This is why anyone who joins Cardinal Heenan should give school football a go – no matter your experience, height, or skill level. Whether you play all games – 10 games, 1 game or even none – just give it a go at training as you will benefit massively from it just as my teammates and I have!
