Worcester College, Oxford

Our Year 11 Preparing for Excellence group visited Worcester College, Oxford, in February. They enjoyed tours of the college grounds with student ambassadors, including former member of staff Miss Powell-Wiffen who is currently studying at Worcester. They then had a presentation from the college’s Senior Admissions and Outreach Officer who spoke to them about the huge array of subjects and societies available at Oxford. The key message of the day was enthusiasm and love of learning, with students encouraged to ask questions and think deeply about the subjects they are truly passionate about, alongside celebrating their own unique talents and interests. In the afternoon, we had a tour around Oxford City Centre, seeing iconic buildings which have featured in TV series and films as well as learning more about the unique collegiate structure of the University of Oxford.
